Agia Napa
Discover the stunning beauty of Ayia Napa, a top Mediterranean resort known for its beaches, nightlife, and cultural sites.
Ayia Napa is one of the most popular and dynamically developing resorts in Cyprus. It is famous for its excellent white and sandy beaches with the purest bright blue water as if descended from advertising posters. The visiting card of the city is Nishi Beach. Amazingly blue water is beautifully combined with silky and white sand. The beach is among the top ten beaches in Europe. The name of the city of Ayia Napa is associated with religion and comes from the name of the monastery. However, the phrase Ayia Napa also means a sacred forest. According to local legend, the now renowned original icon was accidentally discovered by a hunter in pursuit of his prey. Upon discovery, the icon of the Virgin Mary was called Virgin Mary of Napa, eventually shortened and now known as Ayia Napa. Since that moment, pilgrims began to visit the cave, and in the 14th century a church was built in honor of the Theotokos of Ayia Napa.
Geographically, Ayia Napa is located in the southeastern part of Cyprus, close to the Kavo Greco — a seaside national park of amazing beauty. The park is famous for its pristine Mediterranean landscapes and breathtaking views of the coast.
It is believed that Ayia Napa is a synonym for comfort and lightness. The newest hotel base, the developed infrastructure, the high level of service — all this makes the rest of our guests comfortable and unforgettable.
With its more than 50 bars and 10 night clubs Ayia Napa deservedly is named Party Capital of Europe along with Ibiza. Whatever type of music or night out you’re looking for, you should be able to find it in Ayia Napa. Big events with top name acts, worldwide DJ’s and special guest appearances all happen during this time. However, night life is not the only thing the resort can boast of. The Sculptural park of Ayia Napa is located close to the sea. On an area of 20 thousand square meters with a beautiful panoramic view of the sea, numerous sculptors from all over the world created very remarkable works that will certainly please the visitors. And under the bright sky, above the crystal clear blue waters of the sea of Ayia Napa, the bridge of lovers is floating — a real oasis of peace, which is visited by couples as a sign of eternal love.
Being one of the most popular resorts of the Mediterranean, the city continues to develop and attracts interest from international investors. A striking example of that is the construction of the largest infrastructure project — Ayia Napa Marina. Its budget is 220 million euros.
