Nouvelle-Aquitaine

We are always looking and waiting. We fly to distant lands to see and learn something new, we admire and marvel at discoveries and find similarities with what we already know.

Actually, we are looking. We are looking for something «our own» that we will never confuse with anything. That «own» which will erase all emotions and brightness from what he saw before. What will become your «ideal place», the image of which once developed and nestled comfortably in your subconscious. You seem to know for a long time that this place exists and secretly hope for it. And even without suspecting where it is and what, you will still recognize «your own» and never confuse it with anything.

A land as different from the rest of France as its capital, Bordeaux, is like Paris. It’s a paradox, but it’s true — it’s not for nothing that Bordeaux was nicknamed «Little Paris»! Imagine cobbled narrow streets, Gothic churches, sandy-golden mansions «like Haussmann’s», cozy squares — but only without the dominance of Arab-Asian tourists and migrants, queues at museums, mild prices in cafes and restaurants, without dirt, noise, and theft — and voila! You are in Bordeaux!

Aquitaine is a region with amazing nature and rich historical heritage. Located in the very south-west of France, by the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees.

Aquitaine is famous for its excellent wines — the vineyards of Saint-Emilion are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Of course, one cannot fail to mention the famous wines of Bordeaux. With 6,000 wine producers around Bordeaux, the region is the largest wine-growing center in France, and its yield is a delight for wine lovers. Hundreds of estates are open for classic tours, wine tours, lodging or dining. The wine routes of Bordeaux include over 800 castles.

Additionally, here are located many of France’s most beautiful villages and stunning natural attractions, including the prehistoric caves and rock paintings of the Weser Valley, the very first UNESCO monument in France.
The cuisine of Aquitaine gave France some of the most popular hits that have become literally symbols of French cuisine: truffle, the famous foie gras pate and duck dishes: magré and confit.

The regional cuisine also stands out for its seafood (especially the oysters from the Arcachon Bay), cheeses and the famous Périgord black truffles, to which the annual festival in Sorges is dedicated. It is also worth trying Bayonne dry-cured ham, which matures all year in special rooms with a special microclimate.
